Both plans use the same API, the same dashboard and the same sandbox. Moving from Standard to Enterprise changes your rates, not your code.

Rates

The price of every rail.

What you pay for each successful payment, with the most it can cost. Every figure is taken from the payment before it settles, so you never receive a separate bill on Standard.

  1. Caps. The cap is the most you pay on one successful payment, whatever its size. On a local card payment of ₦200,000, the fee is ₦2,000, not ₦3,100. ↩
  2. International cards are cards issued outside Nigeria. ↩
  3. Offline taps are available once your offline setup is approved: terminal enrolment and an offline policy agreed with us. See Offline payments. ↩
  4. Offline assurance is a premium on your offline volume in exchange for PediWave covering verified double-spend losses. See Offline assurance. ↩
  5. Instant settlement pays your available balance to your bank account on request instead of on your schedule. Limits apply. ↩
  6. Disputes. When a dispute opens, its amount is held from your available balance. If you win, the hold is released and there is no fee. If you lose, the amount and the dispute fee are deducted. ↩
  7. Platform fees. The application fee you charge your sellers is yours to set. PediWave's fee for platform features is on your Enterprise rate card. ↩
  8. Who pays. You pay the fee by default. On split payments, the split decides: the platform, each recipient on its own share, or each party in proportion. See the FAQ.
  9. VAT. Fees are shown before VAT. VAT is added to PediWave's fees at the applicable rate.
  10. Coming. Rails marked Coming are priced when they launch.

How we calculate this

For each rail, we work out the fee on one average payment: the percentage of the payment plus any fixed fee, but never more than the cap. We multiply that by the number of payments on the rail, which is your monthly volume times the rail's share, divided by your average payment. We add the rails together, and add offline assurance if you chose it. Real payments vary in size, so caps and fixed fees can make your actual fees higher or lower than this estimate. Fees are shown before VAT.

Offline assurance

Choose who carries a double-spend, before it happens.

An offline tap is signed by both phones, so it cannot be forged or altered. But a payer who clones or rolls back a phone could try to spend the same offline balance twice. When the second tap reaches the ledger, it is refused, so money is never created. The only question is who carries that one payment, and you decide in advance.

Who carries a double-spend

Merchant

You carry a verified double-spend. You get the full proof bundle and can open a claim against the payer.

No premium

PediWave-assured

PediWave covers verified double-spend losses from its assurance pool, and pays you the amount.

+0.50 % of offline volume (50 bps) Illustrative figure

Shared

You and PediWave each carry an agreed share of a verified double-spend.

Agreed with our underwriting team

Whichever you choose, we pursue the payer through a fraud case, block the device, and recover from the payer's account when funds appear. Recovered money repays whoever carried the loss. After repeated events, a terminal's offline limits tighten automatically.

Assurance is set with our underwriting team when offline is switched on, alongside your offline limits.

Questions about pricing.

When am I charged?

Only when a payment succeeds. We take the fee from that payment before it settles to you, so your settlement report shows the amount, our fee and what you received for every payment. On Standard there is no setup fee, no monthly fee and no minimum.

Are there fees on failed payments?

No. A payment that is declined, abandoned, cancelled or expires costs nothing. If we retry a payment on a second provider after the first declines, you pay once, for the payment that succeeded.

Who pays the fee on a split payment?

By default, you do, as the business taking the payment. When you split a payment between several parties, the split decides who pays: the platform, each recipient on its own share, or each party in proportion to its share. Refunds on a split come back from each party in proportion, unless your split says the platform covers them.

How is VAT applied?

Our fees are shown before VAT, and VAT is added to them at the applicable rate. Separately, if you need to charge VAT to your own customers, PediWave can work it out on your invoices and Checkout (Nigeria 7.5 %) and give you a report for your return. Coming, not yet available

What does offline assurance cost?

It is a premium on your offline volume, shown on your rate card in basis points, in exchange for PediWave covering verified double-spend losses. The example on this page is 0.50 % (50 basis points). If you choose to carry double-spends yourself, there is no premium. See Offline assurance.

When is my money settled?

On Standard, your balance settles to your verified bank account the next business day (T+1), with our fees already deducted. If you need money sooner, instant settlement pays your available balance on request for the fee in the rate table. Enterprise rate cards can include instant settlement.

How do I get an Enterprise rate card?

Talk to sales and tell us your monthly volume, the rails your customers use, and whether you need offline, platforms or bank and agent features. We reply within one business day, and your rates are confirmed in writing before you go live.
